| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 建築學系 === 103 === Owing to Tainan underground railway project and a new interchange system at Xiao-Dong Road, as well as the remarkable success of leading many creative exhibitions in recent years, these all make National Cheng Kung University become the most important culture center area in Tainan. Due to the longtime lack of exhibition space in Tainan, National Cheng Kung University attempts to unite all universities and colleges in Tainan and build a epoch-making exhibition center. The project will re-examine issues of the essence of showrooms: circulation paths, light, and orientation. Moreover, as to the concept of exhibition center, there is a tendency toward diversified development. Five functions: exhibition, education, recreation, consumption, and creativity will be attached to this space. When discussing from viewpoints of architecture, “tripartite structure” will be utilized as the basic note of this new building.
There are six sections in this thesis:
1. Prelude: the lack of Tainan exhibition space and the opportunity of new urban construction.
2. Site Analysis.
3. Museum Research.
4. Design Concept.
5. Design Approach.
Design Presentation.
The purpose of this project is to re-defining the functions of exhibition center, and creates a multiple display space of today.
