For ISO 9001:2015 quality standard, it does not provide specific methods to improve processes effectively. Since lean production focuses on eliminating waste in processes, increasing work efficiency and accelerating speed of processes, this study aims to integrate ISO 9001: 2015 standard with lean production method to design the framework of quality system and to provide a reference guideline for industries to transform their ISO 9001:2015-based quality system with process improvement. This study uses a sheet metal company in Southern Taiwan as the case study. It adopts lean production to provide a basis for process improvement. Empirical data obtained from value stream mapping (VSM) is used to analyse the performance of improvement using lean production approach. The process is furthered integrated with ISO 9001 documents. In summary, the main contributions of this study are: 1. Propose an integrated framework for enterprises combining ISO 9001:2015 with lean production methodology. 2. Provide specific process improvement process of the quality of products or service for ISO 9001:2015 document system. 3.
