Summary: | 碩士 === 國立勤益科技大學 === 電機工程系 === 103 === The purpose of this thesis is to develop a switching mode rectifier (SMR) with high power factor. A boost converter is utilized as the main circuit architecture of the proposed SMR. The method of current control is average current control with fixed switching frequency. This makes the boost converter operation in continuous conduction mode (CCM), increases the input power factor, decreases the input current harmonic distortion, and forces the input current to have the same sine waveform as well as to be in phase with the input voltage, thus achieving power factor correction. As for the control of the DC voltage output, the converter model was estimated at operation point firstly and then its PI controller parameter was derived according to the specified performance of the output voltage. The input voltage to the switching mode rectifier designed is 110V AC, and it is capable of maintaining 350 V with a rated load of 300W or under. Finally, the results of a simulation and a physical test were made to verify the performance of the proposed switching mode rectifier.
