Summary: | 碩士 === 國立勤益科技大學 === 電機工程系 === 103 === In this thesis, we use the field programmable gate array (FPGA) to develop a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) vector control IC. Generally a motor drive system contains the current control loop and the speed/position control loop. For PMSM drive system design, the rotor position can be obtained through the encoder, and then field-oriented control is easily implemented by set the stator current at the direction of q-axis, and d-axis is the direction of flux on the rotor. To achieve the vector control performance, digital signal processor (DSP) is usually adopted to be the controller. However, due to the requirement of highly dynamic response for current, we use FPGA instead of DSP as the controller to raise the performance of current control loop. The hardware vector control system as well as the simulation system are first designed by Matlab/Simulink, and then converted into the hardware circuits with the Verilog code, and realized by Altera FPGA. The results of simulation and hardware implementation are shown to verify the validness and performance of current control loop.
