The aging person's muscles and bones' strength situation were not good as they grew older and recession. They feel tired easier even if they were just walk for a short distance. To the elderly, crutches and related aids have become necessities. The study aims to develop an intelligent multifunction crutch to solve problems of the elderly person by using the Inherent Safety Design, Ergonomics and TRIZ Method. Including a rest platform anytime at anyplace and supply an emergency rescue way for them. In order to ensure the safety of crutches' users, we prevent risk of harm and eliminate potential hazards problems by using Inherent Safety Design (ISD) such as substitution, simplification, making incorrect assembly impossible and software methods at first, then use controller design, human-machine design and anthropometry method of the Ergonomics to design a crutch that is cozy, safe and efficiency. Finally, use the parameters of the technical contradiction matrix and apply to the application of TRIZ 40 Innovation Principles to supply ideas for designing an intelligent multifunction crutch. At last, draw it in Inventor software and analyze by Trends of Evolution Radar chart. The results of the study are as below: 1. Positioned users by GPS and conect to emergency medical net. 2. LED light raise up the safety when in darkness places. 3. The crutch users can be attentioned when siren rang. 4. Dogs away device protect user away from dogs attacking. 5.
