Per Republic of China April 96 year and the case of Citibank mergers and acquisitions Bank of Overseas Chinese. With Republic of China 90 years to 103 years in the 4th quarter to 1st quarter, total 50 quarterly data. In order to select the six major indexes of CAMELS principle and supplemented seven general economic indicators to approximate seemingly unrelated regression model(SUR) for evidence. The empirical results show: Citibank mergers and acquisitions Bank of Overseas Chinese has significant positive impact on efficiency. Overall, we get the following conclusions: 1.Merger and acquisition can be improved the efficiency.2.External general economic factors can be effect the efficiency.
