Nevertheless, the efficiency of active control applying to abate the structure response due to time delay is still an interesting topic. In this article, the effect of time delay to the performance of device is discussed. Discussions on amplitude variation of the structure by the installation of active control device with possible existence of time delay are reported. It concludes that the time delay may enlarge the vibration response but may be insignificant in amount. Also, the maximum response of the structure may occur earlier.
