The effects of calcination temperature on the properties of LiFePO4/C were also investigated. The structural, morphological and electrochemical properties were investigated by means of X-ray powder diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, Micro-Raman scattering spectra, and constant current charge–discharge cycling test. The XRD analysis showed that the cathode materials prepared in this study have the olivine crystal structure and high crystallinity. The results of Raman analysis indicated that different calcination temperature had an obvious influence on the degree of graphitization and thus on the electrochemical properties. The electrochemical analysis showed that the discharge capacity of cathode composites obtained with the use of microwave assisted synthesis and calcined at different temperatures were 112 mAh/g and 52mAh/g at 0.1C and 10Cfor 600 oC, 108 mAh/g and 49mAh/g at 0.1C and 10C for 650 oC, 108 mAh/g and 38mAh/g at 0.1C and 10C for 700 oC, respectively.
