This study use the purposive sampling and the study sites choose the regional teaching hospital in southern Taiwan, to collect case in October 2014-March 2015 period and total of 83 valid questionnaires were collected and Data analysis. The research methods were longitudinal study design and twice data were collected for stroke patients. The research tools used structural formula questionnaire, the structured questionnaire included Demographic information (including basic properties, disease characteristics) of stroke patients, Personality Hardiness Scale and Social Support Scale and Resilience Scale. SPSS 19.0 was applied during the data analysis. The data analysis involved descriptive statistical analysis, inferential statistical analysis, Independent-t test, Paired-t test, one way ANOVA, Scheff´e's method, Pearson product-moment correlation, and Multiple regression. The research results showed:(1)The research targets had moderate personality hardiness before rehabilitation and increased personality hardiness after rehabilitation. The difference was statistically significant. It showed that the stroke patients had increased personality hardiness after going through rehabilitation. (2) The research targets had moderate social support before rehabilitation and increased social support after rehabilitation. The difference was statistically significant. It showed that the stroke patients had increased social support after going through rehabilitation. (3) The research targets had low resilience before rehabilitation and increased resilience after rehabilitation. The difference was statistically significant. It showed that the stroke patients had increased resilience after going through rehabilitation. (4) They showed a positive correlation among personality hardiness, social support and resilience before rehabilitation. They were showing personality hardiness more positive, the social support and resilience it better before rehabilitation. They showed a positive correlation among personality hardiness, social support and resilience after rehabilitation. They were showing personality hardiness more positive, the social support and resilience it better after rehabilitation. The increase of before and after in the rehabilitation, they showed a positive correlation among increase of personality hardiness, social support and resilience, In other words it increases the greater the amount of its resilience also the more progressive; (5) In terms of basic attributes, the factors that significantly affected the target’s resilience included marriage problems, right-sided paralysis and accompany presented during rehabilitation, and resilience before rehabilitation. The factors can explain 53% of the total variation of the post-rehabilitation resilience. For an individual, suffering from an illness is an adversity in life. When facing the shock brought by the illness; stroke patients may encounter psychological and physical difficulties. Increasing an individual’s personality hardiness through appropriate evaluation and education or activity, transferring an individual timely, or assisting an individual to increase social support network can increase an individual’s resilience, decrease the discomfort caused by the illness, and increase an individual’s positive adaptability and quality of life. The results of the research can be provided to related units as reference for relevant policy and measure
