Summary: | 碩士 === 美和科技大學 === 社會工作系碩士班 === 103 === In view of physical and psychological trauma of the battered women caused in the domestic violence, this study developed battered women's growth groups programs based on the theory of recovery force (resilience) to help them enhance their self-evaluation, and have the courage to face the trauma, and restore their self-confidence and self-esteem as well as autonomy and independence.
In this study, "a single set of measure designed before and after" of the experimental research method adopted as the structure of research, and eight courses of open space conference model (Open Space Technology) was conducted. Total 10 people selected from lower crisis and present no immediate re-battered danger cases who were accepting services from research unit was participated.
At the same time quantitative and qualitative datum are gathering. Self-concept Questionnaire 、State-Trait Anxiety Inventory、 Empowerment scale and other related data were taken before and after the group activities and invested by dependent sample t test. They were all found positive effects. The study manifested the growth group activities improved the members’ self-concept, self-empowerment and the states of anxiety in positive effect.
In addition, the following results in qualitative research are presented: the members in the group can support one another, derive a sense of group belonging, inspire themselves with self-confidence, dare to express their own ideas as well as set goals for the future, escape powerlessness, enhance self-affirmation, life satisfaction, interpersonal relationship and self-worth.
Finally, the conclusions of this study are as followings: both recovery force and the advantage perspectives lead to the same result. The open space model group programs are feasible indeed. The implementation of this support group programs has positive effects.
