Summary: | 碩士 === 明道大學 === 設計學院碩士班 === 103 === Taiwan sugarcane industry can trace back to Dutch era(1624~1662). At the period of Japanese colonial age, sugar export became the major income of foreign exchange earning.
In order to transport sugarcane to the nearby factory, a total length of 3000 kilometer railroad was built at that time. Until now, with most of the sugarcane factories shut down, nearly all railroad was abandoned. Nevertheless, the sugarcane railroad nearby Mingdao university was amazingly well-preserved because of the built of Xizhou park. This give us a chance to start a study on this railroad's restoration plan. In order to move forward the study, this project will assume that the railroad has been reinstalled, and will focused on the ticket's purchase intention and pricing strategy.
The emphasis of this study including the followings:
1. The content of the restoration of Xizhou sugarcane railroad.
2. The study of the ticket's purchase intention using questionnaire technique.
3. The feasibility of reinstallation of this railroad through financial and management assessment.
The result indicated that more than 60% of students have intention to accept this idea and take this train as their everyday's transportation. As well, if the students source can fill the gap of the off-peak time, the probability of success will fundamentally increased.
