In this paper, Lin Shu’s novel “Jin Guo Yang Qiu”as a research theme, I hope that through the author''s description of the social and political, as well as reviews for Yuan government and dissatisfaction with the revolutionaries. I wanted to discussion writing background, the book content, novel significance, and other creative techniques for understanding the great writer. This paper is divided into six chapters.
The first chapter is “Introduction.”Description research motive and purpose, as well as understanding of the relevant literature, and finally explained the scope and methods of research.
The second chapter is “Lin Shu''s life and thought.”Lin Shu in the late Qing Dynasty, politics, culture, ideology and literature has produced change. This chapter is divided into three parts; it is Lin Shu''s life story, political thought and literary ideas.
The third chapter is“Lin Shu and‘Jin Guo Yang Qiu’.”I wanted to explore Lin Shu''s novel concept, and introduce five novels. Finally I explained writing background and content of“Jin Guo Yang Qiu”. This chapter is divided into four parts, Lin Shu''s concept of the novel, Lin Shu''s novel, the writing background of “Jin Guo Yang Qiu” and the contents of “Jin Guo Yang Qiu.”
The forth chapter is “ ‘Jin Guo Yang Qiu’ the theme of significance.”Depicting revolutionaries greedy timid personality and Yuan wants to be emperor. Novel content also showed the importance of Lin Shu impact on tradition and experience in the translation subject. This chapter is divided into four parts, scold revolutionaries, criticism Yuan, protection traditional, learning western novels.
The fifth chapter is “‘Jin Guo Yang Qiu’writing style.”Novel addition to a far-reaching implication of the theme, but also a proper creative approach, through a variety of angles to analyze the novel, better understand the author''s intentions and shortcomings. This chapter is divided into three parts, which are character Creation, narrative perspective and writing skills.
The sixth chapter is “Conclusion.”Summarize the contents of each chapter, and described the future outlook of this thesis.
