Good pictograms can connect with people In spite of them has different cultures or languages. Beautiful pictograms will make us pleasant in our mind. As pictograms used in city image identify, through the shape and color of the design, it can convey a better local culture image of the place and reached the city marketing results, and applications can be developed into a cultural and creative industries in the subsequent evolution of improving the structure of the local population, promote the balanced development of the local economy.
This study treats Tamsui images as an subject of created pictograms ,and hope that through visual representation of the way to achieve landscaping and increasing art spirit. Using documentary analysis and case study analysis conducted, first probing for Tamsui areas and pictograms design by literature review , then collect the necessary information through case studies, at last put research results into Tamsui Pictogram creation.
