Suh-Fen, Tsai is a Taiwanese female writer who is still writing novels for three decades.She is in love with writing novels.We saw her concern for the people of Taiwan in the works, whether rural people, city people,the Mainlanders, the Taiwanese or people living abroad, all inclusive. Her fiction themes are multivariate , often focus on human emotion of the original village and reflecting social issues under the changing times. Suh-Fen, Tsai is good at portray humanity in an era, and often presents different theme in different times in the works. Her observation of the social and political also has its softness and tolerance.
As a research text in this paper, " All the Stars Are Talking "published in 2014 is divided into six chapters.There are the overview of the contents of each chapter as later.
Chapter One is the prologue. It mainly discourses the research motives and objectives of this thesis, analyzes the results of previous studies, and establishes the research methods and procedures.
Chapter Two introduces the author’s life story and analyzes the origin of her creation. Then explores the theme connotation of Suh-Fen, Tsai ''s novel "People in Salt-pan"," Sister Book "," OliveTree ", "Candlelight Feast". And finally, discusses the creative motivation of "All the Stars Are Talking" and briefly describes the story .
Chapter Three analyzes the main ideology of " All the Stars Are Talking ". The novel is divided into three themes, men''s grown, ethnic fusion and care for the elderly. The three themes were one by one discussed.
Chapter Four discusses the writing skills of " All the Stars Are Talking ". It displays the writing skills of the author by researching the plot arrangements, the scene designs and the character creation.
Chapter Five discusses the art features of " All the Stars Are Talking ". It Summed about artistic characteristics of the things imagery, the syntactic style and the rhetoric skills in this novel.
Chapter Six summarizes the research results and proposes research prospects in the future.
Through the research of this paper, hoping to tease out the continuity and innovation of the theme connotation between Suh-Fen, Tsai ''s novels. We then highlights the unique writing skills and artistic styles of Suh-Fen, Tsai , In order to more fully understand the style and spirit of Suh-Fen, Tsai ''s novels.
