But, the basic microcontroller usually works without encoder circuits, and the users must select the others with encoder circuits to achieve the accurately motion control. The contributions of the paper are as follows. First, we implement the accurate encoder module and integrate this module to support the motors motion information to the microcontroller. Hence, the two DC motors could be controlled accurately. Second, the encoder modules can be designed for the DC motors with the high velocity and resolutions. Then we can successfully read the motors information from the kind of DC motors. Third, the designed encoder modules can successfully be integrated into the line following robot to move along the line position. To show the reliability of the designed encoder module, we integrate this module into a line following robot which accurately follows the line positions by integrating the motors motion information from the design encoder module into our position control mechanism. From the experiments, we observe that our designed encoder module works and the line following can move accurately.
