Therefore Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction is of great urgency and as such demands immediate attention. This study collected questionnaires from parents of elementary school students in Dashe District in order to explore parents’ attitude toward energy and their Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction Behavior. The study was initiated to further understand parents’ knowledge about energy attitude and to encourage their positive behavior of energy conservation and carbon reduction. The subjects of the study are students’ parents from three elementary schools, Jiacheng, Dashe, and Guan-In from Dashe District as a statistical population. A total of 400 copies of questionnaires were distributed, 305 copies were returned, (76% overall response rate), and 305copies of valid questionnaires. The collected data was analyzed with SPSS for Windows 21.0 package software. This study discovered the following: 1. Parents from Dashe District of Kaohsiung City possessed a relatively high overall knowledge about energy attitude and recognition, especially the section of energy safety. 2. Parents from Dashe District of Kaohsiung City showed relatively high recognition about energy conservation and carbon reduction behavior and attitude. 3. In the section of energy attitude recognition, there was a significant difference between genders 4. In the section of energy attitude recognition, there was a significant difference among different educational background. This research result offered a reference for promoting energy conservation and carbon reduction policy and energy education curriculum, and furthermore to lend an impetus to a better environment in Taiwan with reduced carbon and less energy.
