Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 化學工程與材料工程系碩士在職專班 === 103 === 300 Series stainless steels are classified as Austenitic stainless steels. These grades of stainless contains chromium (approx. 16% to 30%) and nickel (approx. 6% to 25%) as their major alloying additions. 300 Series Stainless steels are high quality for anti-corrosion, that can maintain their strength at high temperatures and easy to be maintained. However, Austenitic stainless steels are difficult-to-machine materials. Sulfur has been studied being added to austenitic stainless steel, and the machinability and mechanical properties has been investigated by AOD. The resulfurization technique by adding sulfur wire in the furnace has a sulfur yield of about 75%~80%. The traditional resulfurization technique with pyrite makes the sulfur yield at about 30%~50%. On this study, the average sulfur yield efficiency was increased to 60%~65%, by utilized the new resulfurization technique (Pour molten steel during adding-sulfur) for the increasement of sulfur content in the stainless steel manufacturing process of 304L, 316L and 303S.
