Summary: | 碩士 === 開南大學 === 空運管理學系 === 103 === Check-in Counters provide great convenience for passengers’ flight check-in and boarding, and the service of Check-in Counters directly affects not only the image of airlines, but more importantly, the overall operational efficiency of the airport. Therefore, Check-in Counters play a vital role in the operation system of the airport, and bring up a large attention among airlines, passengers, and even airport operation units. Given the fact that the Check-in Counters in Taoyuan International Airport are fairly insufficient with a constant increase of flights and airlines, how to allocate the Check-in Counters effectively and efficiently becomes an important research subject. This study focuses on the theoretical research of the Check-in Counters of Taoyuan International Airport. Firstly, the counters were assorted into small groups, and then, taking into account demands of the airport, airlines, and passengers, a mathematical model was built to optimize the counters allocation within a minimum position change. Applying the input data of Taoyuan International Airport Terminal 1 building in the summer of 2014, the model equation was solved, and then a comparison study was conducted between the model results and existing data. The study showed that the theoretical allocation solution is more efficient and versatile, and can largely optimize the counters utilization as much as possible.
