The data were collected by a questionnaire survey method. The study has issued 430 questionnaires in total. After eliminating 18 invalid questionnaires, 412 are valid, and the effective response rate is 95.8%. The purpose of the study includes: (1) To explore tourists’ expected space experience before visitation, actual space experience after visitation, geopolitical cognition and historical cognition, in order to establish the dark tourism spectrum of the battlefield. (2) Employ the IPA method to discover tourists’ evaluation of expected space experience before visitation and actual space experience after visitation. (3) To identify the effect of dark tourism cognition to tourist loyality. (4) To diagnose the effect of dark tourism cognition to tourist loyality by using emotional experience and dark tourism spectrum as mediators. (5) Based on the results of dark tourism spectrum analysis, discuss the potential and possibility of Kinmen battlefield tourism. The results show: (1) The majority of respondents are 21-30 years old,single, at university or college level, these show that the ages of battle museum tourists are getting younger, and they are mostly unmarried. Mostly are students or employee from service industries. (2) Dark tourism cognition, emotional experience, expected space experience before visitation, actual space experience after visitation, geopolitical cognition all has a significant positive impact on tourist loyalty.
