In order to obtain the most energy efficient building venting condition, we developed a mathematics control equation derived from fuzzy theory. The control factors include the carbon dioxide concentration as the indicator of indoor air quality, and temperature and humidity as the indicators of indoor comfort level. In the present study, a model was designed to obtain the optimal conditions using simulation, by monitoring the concentrations of carbon dioxide, indoor temperature, and moisture simultaneously. The input of environmental conditions for the model will be based on the recorded data of aforementioned parameters, and the sensitivity of human perception. When the indoor air quality and comfort level meet the presented requirements, the system will activate the venting system to reach the expected indoor air quality and comfort. The energy consumption was also calculated under the different venting modes.
