Summary: | 碩士 === 弘光科技大學 === 營養醫學研究所 === 103 === Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a general term for a group of lung diseases, assess the clinical COPD questionnaire common chronic obstructive pulmonary disease Assessment Test (CAT) and the British Medical Research Council questionnaire (mMRC). But most COPD patients often due to lack of nutrition caused by weight loss, along with lower than normal body mass index (BMI). Therefore, this study was from July 2014 to December for the 31 COPD patient's medical clinic in the chest after consultation with its willingness to study the use of Mini Nutritional Assessment Taiwan full version (MNA-T) and lite version (MNA-TSF) questionnaire to assess their nutritional risk and compare their correlation. Result: the average age of 31 male patients of 75 years (41--89 years), smoking habit in the past there have been 87.5%, has affected the life (moderate) were up 78.9%. All subjects of BMI (22.9 ± 3.7 kg/m2), mid-arm circumference (MAC) (25.2 ± 2.8 cm), calf circumference (CC) (33.1 ± 3.0 cm) mean values are in the ideal. Triceps subcutaneous fat thickness (TSF) (6.5 ± 2.6 mm) was lower than ideal adult men (12.5 mm). MNA-T and MNA-TSF assessment shows, COPD patients in this case the risk of malnutrition, mostly income groups, and the two scales of health (MNA-T、MNA-TSF) indicators BMI, TSF, MAC , CC, CAT values were highly significant positive correlation was not associated with albumin, blood urea nitrogen, creatinine, and cholesterol. In conclusion: The results of this study show the Mini Nutritional Assessment Taiwan full version (MNA-T) and Lite version (MNA-TSF) provide clinicians have encountered as a nutritional risk assessment tool for patients with COPD.
