Description
Summary:碩士 === 修平科技大學 === 精實生產管理碩士班 === 103 === After world economic crisis in 2008, many enterprises have introduced and applied various managerial approaches to increase their competitiveness, create product value without any wastes, save the cost, and increase the profit. That is, these approaches play an important role in the lean production management. The paper uses a case study which refers to content and spirit of Toyota Production System(TPS). By combining Toyota’s culture and system thereof, a mode and strategy may be introduced to improve the manufacturing process in a company. This study inspired by James P. Womack and Daniel T. Jones includes following steps: defining the value, Value stream mapping, Flow, Pull and Perfection. A case study is performed for a hand tools company, and a result of the study shows that an effect of the lean production is significant for the hand tools company. The results are summarized as follows:1.Increase features of holding ability, measurement scale, and magnetic to create product value. 2. Shorten a transportation distance from 484 meters to shortened 220 meters reduced by 45%. 3. Decrease the number of WIP inventory from 51000 to 15600 reduced by 69%. 4. Save 17 square meters for a WIP space, such that the plant space utilization is increased by 39%. 5. Decreasing 4 operators from 40 ones is 10% of labor reduced. 6. Increase the effect of the manufacturing process from 3900 to 8700. In other words, 123% is increased. This leads them to promote improvements for activating enterprise organizational culture and to assist them to realize customer’s satisfactions, continuous improvements, and long-run human thoughts. Therefore, cultivating the unique company’s culture and providing references to introduce lean production system for the hand tools Manufacturing are proposed.
