The effects of the configuration, the phase difference, the elevation of the dual piezoelectric fans and the dimensions of the heat sinks are discussed. The experimental results show that the lowest thermal resistance is obtained when the dual piezoelectric fans are in face to face configuration and parallel to the plate fins (FFP) for the two series of heat sinks with fin number of 2 and 3. The thermal resistance is lowest when the dual piezoelectric fans vibrate in phase for most heat sinks. The thermal resistances of heat sink with fin height of 30mm are lower than the thermal resistances of heat sink with fin height of 15mm. Heat sinks with fin number of 3 have better cooling effect than fin number of 2. For the series of heat sinks with fin number of 2, when the fin height is 30mm and the fin thickness is 3mm, the dual piezoelectric fans are in FFP configuration and vibrate in phase, the thermal resistance is lowest. For the series of heat sinks with fin number of 3, when the fin height is 30mm and the fin thickness is 5mm, the dual piezoelectric fans are in FFP configuration and vibrate in phase, the thermal resistance is lowest.
