Description
Summary:碩士 === 華梵大學 === 工業設計學系碩士班 === 103 === Art Nouveau was the popular Art Deco movement in European and American between around nineteenth century and early twentieth century. The artists must not imitate the earlier style but encompass the contemporary style of current century and seek to show the "novel" and the "youthful" ideas and advocating nature elements. Art Nouveau designs can be found easily in many places such as graphic design, product design, interior design, and even in architecture. In this study, I try to extract the elements of female, flowers, curve and symbol from aesthetic creation of "new art" and use these elements into paper art creations. Artists usually create paper works through a combination of paper quilling and paper cutting techniques. Their creative concepts are to present natural beauty, the demands of environmental protection and combined with stylish and retro ideas. Also through the introduction of Art Nouveau, artist creation process can make more people become interested in Art Nouveau and inspire more discussion and artistic creation.
