Description
Summary:碩士 === 華梵大學 === 美術學系碩士班 === 103 === The reason that “Art of Painting” attracts so many people is because it can be fabricated out of nothing and present individuals’ unique thinking. “Art of Painting” could be simple but kaleidoscopic like a puzzle which people keep seeking for its answer in his/her whole life. If people want to know more about this specific knowledge, they have to explore and probe hardly and deeply. Fine brushwork of painting, which belongs to the traditional Chinese art, is an artistic domain that emphasizes on scholars’ thinking and expression techniques. In this field, I am particularly fond of the bird‐and‐flower painting. I personally prefer painting by fine brushworks and using various professional painting techniques to practice painting skills in order to get a brief understanding in the past and future trends of the bird‐and‐flower paintings. In this dissertation, I try to use “interpretive structural modeling” to portray the context of the dissertation. Not only with the method of detail discussion and various painting creation concepts, but also manipulating different possible elements such as the application of batik techniques, I am about to put the purification and aesthetics of the art pieces as the focus of this research report. The key points of each chapter in this dissertation are as follows: Chapter1. Introduction. To clarify the motivation, objective, range and method of the research. Chapter2. With regard to the bird‐and‐flower paintings, this chapter discusses their historical sources, including their traces and development and roughly outlines their modern trends. Chapter3. To clarify each theory of bird‐and‐flower paintings from Tang Dynasty, Five Dynasties, Song Dynasty, Yuan Dynasty, Ming Dynasty to Qing Dynasty. Chapter4. To explain my the ideas of my paintings and discuss the structure of flowers and birds with the use of “Interpretive Structural Modeling”. In addition, to probe the simplification of various techniques and structures in detail. Moreover, with the use of the batik techniques, paintings can convey a brand new visual perception to their audiences. In this chapter, the creation idea of my individual paintings will also be reviewed. Chapter5. Conclusion. To conclude my reflective thinking of the painting process and to make a goal and prospect of my future career.
