In some assessment tools, one of the most reliable methods is paper tests, of which mock examination questions are extensively used as a key tool for the prediction of important tests. Therefore, it is very important for education authorities to develop an effective mock examination question. In this thesis, we take mock examination questions of natural science in 102 academic year for example to implement the item analysis based on the mock tests the researcher’s students took. The research is divided into three parts, including the analysis of students’ grades, the analysis of the whole tests and the analysis of individual question. It is expected that the outcomes of research can not only help to build the effective database of mock examination questions but also provide the reference for the future teaching and the construct of examination questions for teachers.
