Summary: | 碩士 === 華梵大學 === 工業工程與經營資訊學系碩士班 === 103 === The research aims at discussing pressure that the grassroots police officers in branch office of “New Taipei City governmental police station”, which is complex in characteristic, public security and traffic, face and their sense of alienation caused by the pressure. This research randomly selects respective 100 members, which counts up to 400 members, from grassroots police officers, rounds men, assistant investigators and team leaders from branch offices in Banqiao, Haishan, Sanchong and Hsinchuang. The questionnaire scale design is made after literature review, taking reference to related theory and considering some empirical reseatch. Then ask for suggestions from the police officers mentioned above to further improve its applicableness and the “Job stress scale of grassroots police officers” and “Job alienation scale”are finally prepared. The investigation result is analyzed with descriptive statistics, independent sample T-test, one-way analysis of variance and Pearson,s product-moment correlation analysis and the result is shown as follows:
1. The most impressive one that makes the police officers feel job stress is when “the routine duty is trouble by unreasonable requirements, expectations and disobedience of the public”; second one is when “the news media distorts the truth”. Dimensions of the job stress includes “organizational system”, “work environment”, “working hours”, “external environment” and “personal feeling”, in which “external environment” generates most of the stress.
2. Among the job alienations, the most frequent choice of the police officers is “I see no hope for a job promotion” and second choice is “I work as a police officer just to make a living”. Job alienation dimension include “hopelessness”, “insignificance”, “social isolation” and “self-segregation”, among which “hopelessness” is the most severe one.
3. Job stress feeling intensity significantly varies in different “service bureau” and different service bureaus are different in “organizational system”, “work environment”, “working hours”, “external environment” and “personal feeling”.
4. The result shows no remarkable difference in overall “job alienation” considering different background variables except “service bureau”.
