A researcher revised tool, the “Use of Activity Trackers, Exercise Self-efficacy and Interpersonal Relationship Survey”, was distributed to a convenient sample of 385 subjects. The results of the study were: (a) a typical subject of the study was an 31-40-year old activity tracker user using smart phone exercise tracking APP for more than 3 times a week; the highest scores for the subjects on exercise self-efficacy and the interpersonal relationship scales were “Self Perception and Experience” and “Mutual Support and Encouragement”, respectively; (b) both male and female subjects were more likely to use smart phone exercise tracking APP as exercise trackers, while a greater percentage of male subjects than their female counterpart used GPS sport watch; more male subjects used exercise trackers for more than 3 times a week and more female subjects did that for less than 3 times a week; subjects who aged 31-40 were more likely to be users, with more than 3 times a week being the most reported using frequency; (c) there was a significant difference on the scores of “Self-discipline and Persistence” subscale between male and female subjects; there were significant differences on the scores of “Self-assurance and Performance” and “Self Perception and Experience” subscales among different age group subjects; (d) there was no significant difference between male and female subjects on the scores of the subscales of the Interpersonal Relationship Scale; whereas significant differences were found on the subscales of the measurement among different age group subjects; (e) there were significant differences on scores of the subscales of the Exercise Self-efficacy Scale among different category or frequency users, and there were significant differences among different category users on scores of the “Self-discipline and Persistence” and “Self Perception and Experience” subscales; (f) there were significant differences on scores of the subscales of the Interpersonal Relationship Scale among different category users, whereas subjects with different using frequencies scored significantly differently on “Mutual Support and Encouragement” and “Experience Transmitting and Sharing” subscales; and, (g) there was a significant correlation between subjects’ exercise self-efficacy and interpersonal relationship.
