Summary: | 碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 宗教學系碩士在職專班 === 103 === A report by the World Health Organization indicates that one out of three people in average suffers from depression. Working as a pastoral care specialist in a Catholic hospital, I perceived that people in the modern times have been heavily weighed by stresses that need to be released. Therefore I was motivated to research in finding a solution to stress relief. Spiritual healing, a Christian approach to helping people in need, is not merely practiced through professional techniques of man, but through prayers and the power of God. The purpose of this thesis is to research into this subject by case study method with literature review.
There were a total of five individual cases studied in the research that included patients in hospital and girls in social welfare institutions. It was evident that significant changes have been brought about in the clients after spiritual healing .The researcher observed and conducted interviews in the process, recording, identifying and analyzing the course of work recounted by the leading minister. The working steps taken by the ministers of spiritual healing were thus sorted out. In the meanwhile, twenty essentials of the course contributed to the changes of the clients through spiritual healing were identified by assignment analysis, and each named for future reference for those who work and research on stress relief with the spiritual healing approach.
