What kind of family rearing cultivates children with the mobility to participate in overseas services, children who render efforts to promote others? The qualitative research was adopted as the research method. This study is intended to serve three purposes: 1. Elicit the researcher’s decision to adopt overseas service learning-volunteers as research participants, with hopes of gaining an insight into the family structure of overseas service volunteers; 2. Understand the impact of original family on university students’ participation as overseas service learning-volunteers; 3. Understand the relationship between overseas service-learning experience and employment attitude. In the qualitative research, the researcher was both an observer and a participant. Through in-depth interviews, records, and document analysis methods, findings show: 1. The original family’ altruistic experience and family structure support participants as overseas service learning-volunteers; 2. The personality traits cultivated iii from original family experience are supportive of the overseas service learning-volunteers’ positive thinking drive; 3. Original family experience and overseas service learning-volunteers are supportive of future employment attitude. PAN, RONG-JI 潘榮吉 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 159 zh-TW
