Out of the thirteen functions of “teiuka”, the top three are ①correcting the presupposition of utterance, ②insertion, ③specifying1: additional details; The last three are: ①repetition, ②contracts, and ③subject change3: returning to the topic of discussion. 2. The position of “teiuka” for the purpose of “speech repair” is: mid-sentence > beginning of sentence > end of sentence. The position of “teiuka” for the purpose of “non-speech repair” is: beginning of sentence>mid-sentence. However, it does not appear at the end of sentence. 3. The frequency order of five sentence patterns using “teiuka” is「A teiuka B」>「A teiuka」>「A teiuka Z」>「A teiuka B teiuka Z」>「A、B teiuka」. 4.
