Although there are many scholars whom proposed many ideas about Japanese holophrase. But they are all about noun holophrase, and are very less to mention the adjective holophrase. So this paper I will analysis the foundation of adjective holophrase by stating investigates the concept which Yoshio Yamada and other scholars brought up. Next, collecting the example sentences from the Japanese novel base on the internet site “Aozora Bunko”, and then analysis each example sentence to form “the method of adjective holophrases”. Finally, by compare with the method of noun holophrases which scholar Keisuke Onoe had discussed. This will make the method of adjective holophrases more clear and lucid. And prove that the method of adjective holophrases is functional and correct.
