Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 中國文學系 === 103 === In this paper, we use Lu Xun's〈Ben on〉, Nan Kung-Po's《HouYi and Chang -Eh》and Wang Xiao-Lian's 〈Last arrows〉the trilogy of three modern myth novels as a research area for our thesis, and would like to explore how author restate, rewrite or deduct the ancient myth of Hou-Yi and Chang-Eh in different environments and background knowledge about the story, resulting it into another mythical novel. First, find out Hou-Yi and Chang-Eh's charactenistic and sort the basic structure of their storylines; then analyze the differences between the characters and plot of the past and present novels; finally, bringing out the theme " betray ", as well as "after myth" in the history of novel, positioning and interconnects authors and their works. Lu Xun's state of reality,Nan Kung-Po's simplicity of Wang Xiao-Lian's romance each having their pros and cons, and thus creating different styles and features of myth novel.
