Moreover, the research further analyzes weather different backgrounds of those students lead to different survey results. For the purpose of this research, questionnaire survey is utilized for the higher-grade students of Lou-Tung elementary school in I-Lan county. In total, there are 322 effective questionnaires collected, and they are analyzed based on descriptive statistics, t-test, and Pearson correlation method. In summary, the main findings of the research are listed as below: 1.The frequency of taking leisure activities among the investigated students is low. Based on the analysis, the categories of the leisure activities, happening frequencies from high to low in this investigation, are "recreation", "social services", "sports", "knowledge ", "outdoor activity", and "techniques". The detailed items, listed from top to bottom in the sequence of most popular to least popular, are "chatting", "watching TV", "playing with friends", "playing phone/computer", and "shopping". 2.The students with better sense of happiness generally have better interpersonal relationship, but have worse self-affirmation and lack positive emotion. 3.The female students perform more frequently than the male students on the categorie of "social services", "knowledge ", and "techniques". The fifth-grade students have a higher score than the sixth-grade students on the aspect of "sport"; however, the sixth-grade students have a higher score on the aspect of "knowledge". The students joinign after-school classes perform "recreation" related leisure activies at a higher frequency than those without joining after-school classes. 4.Among different genders and different graders, whether they join after-school classes would not make a noticeable difference on happiness feeling. 5.Those students who take more leisure activities would have better sense of happiness.
