As a result, resource allocation and the commercialization of patent technology have also become a popular issue. In order to provide the reference of patent commercialization to the research organizations, academic institutes, industrial organizations, and the patent inventors, this research evaluates and ranks patent commercialization criteria. In the considerations of mutual influences of criteria and the fuzziness of expert evaluations, this study incorporates fuzzy analytical network process (FANP) for the criteria evaluation and the ranking of priority. Focusing on three strategic criteria (technology, market, and operation management), and eleven sub-criteria as reference for FANP expert questionnaire design, and then distribute the questionnaires to the patent commercialization experts. The results show that the priorities of criteria are technology, market, and operation management. For sub-criteria, on the technology aspect, patent commercialization cares most about “quantity and quality”, “technic substitution” matters less. Moreover, on the market aspect, “marketing channel” ranks first and “market size” is the second. At last, on the operation management aspect, “cost management” is more significant than “team management”. The case study of patent commercialization in this research is able to reduce the risk of subjective judgements for the businessmen during decision making so as to distribute the limited resource of commercialization for higher efficiency in the area of patent commercialization.
