Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 機械與電腦輔助工程學系 === 103 === Abstract Cars’ power comes from engines and the performance of an engine is closely linked to the evaluation of a car. As a result, each car manufacturer devotes every effort on research and development to win their market share. Competition between same businesses gradually develops to international car races. A similar situation as the real car happens to the radio control model industry. R/C car races are held from time to time even twice an year. To have a great performance engine plays an important role to win the race. An engine is regularly evaluated by the horsepower, however, the horsepower is quite related to the parts that complete an engine. Such as the design of the carburetor, Inlet & exhaust timing setting of the cylinder and the crankshaft, weights of the crankshaft and the piston, material choosing, compression ratio design, heat sink performance of the cylinder head and so on. In order to promote the power of the engine, this writing is focused on changing the inlet & exhaust timing of the cylinder and crankshaft, analyzing with Dr. Genichi Taguchi experiment rules, application of orthogonal array to determine relative factors to obtain the best parameter combination. The engine power was 16.22% promoted successfully by using the characteristic of larger- the-better to gain the best parameter to test and verify. The result establishes the foundations of the follow-up researches. This mode can also be used to other researches of engine power promotion like the above mentioned carburetor design, weight match of the crankshaft and piston, compression ratio design…etc.
