Due to the numbers of cycling riders are increasing, however , there were no sufficient considered plans to develop the urban road bicycle paths which conduct more difficulties to set up the bike lanes to fit the existing roads. This study is to explore how different planting combination types of the sidewalks facilities and the sidewalk width will lead the overall satisfaction experience such as comfort, safety, aesthetics and interesting while riding a bicycle along the sidewalk. Apply via Internet questionnaire survey with a computer simulation 3D photo as stimulate media to investigate the identification level while the bike riders cycling along the sidewalk. The survey has been conducted during April - May in 2015, received a total of 372 valid questionnaires. The results showed that 67 percent of subjects who had been cycling on the sidewalk with positive identity of riding a bike on the sidewalk were slightly higher than those who are disagreed. About one-third of subjects who maintained a neutral attitude. When the sidewalk width is 3m, with “single hole planting hole covered with a tree hole cover” , the safety, aesthetics, interesting and satisfaction are lower than 3, the various riding experience shows more negative and lack of security, also the aesthetics and interesting satisfaction are low. When sidewalks width is 4m, with “the single hole planting hole covered with a tree hole cover” , the safety, aesthetics, interesting and satisfaction is only slightly higher than 3, compared the width of the sidewalk 3m with up to 4m and 5m, the sidewalks without planting and planting in combination sidewalks or with various other forms of planting, the safety, aesthetics, interesting and satisfaction and the width of the sidewalk both increase, the valuations have increased. In the three kinds of sidewalk width, strip-shaped planting hole , with or without planting trees and shrubs, the valuation of various riding experience points are higher than the single hole covered. When the sidewalk width is less than 3m, based on a five-point Likert scale measuring, with various combinations planting, the safety of the rider feelings are less than 3. When the city sidewalk display the configuration stratified planting, as long as the net width greater than 4m, then it is recommended to allow the bicycle riders share the walkways with pedestrian.
