| Summary: | 碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 國際貿易學系 === 103 === Taiwan’s issue is not new, but quite significant, not only for Beijing and Taipei, but also for the whole international community, especially for the major powers of Asia-Pacific region (the US, Japan, Russia).
During the last few decades the Taiwan economy has developed rapidly and steadily, year by year, showing impressive growth. In addition, West countries see Taiwan as a real example, whose methods and results of management of the economy could provide a strong impulse for reform in China.
Therefore, the relevance of a peaceful resolution of this issue has not abated in our days. In the paper we tried to study economic and political situation in Taiwan in general, relations evolution between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait in economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, current relations between two sides, the main problems of cooperation between Taiwan and China.
