Summary: | 碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 公共政策研究所 === 103 === After the implementation of Twelve-year Compulsory Education, students gradually lose learning motivations under the traditional education were found. Therefore, the thought of making a change came to me and the ideas of Flipped Classroom and the Share-start Teaching Methods became a trend at the same time. This study aims to make clearly the learning achievement in Geography of junior high students under the influence of the Share-start Teaching Methods.
In order to achieve the study goal, 35 ninth grade students as studying objects for a 7-week action study. A learning sheet based on questions which included two main parts --“Western and Northern Europe” and “Eastern Europe and Russia” were redesigned. Students were grouped to teamwork by the rule of Major League Draft. The
data collecting was emphasized on the quantity and quality methods. In the part of quantity, the grades of “the Test of Learning Achievement in Junior High School Geography” and “the Questionnaires of the Interest and Class Participation of Share-start” were collected under the quantity analysis of SPSS 18.0. The collecting of quality data included “Teachers’ Classroom Observation and Reflection Notes”, “the Deep Interviews with Students” and “ the Collection of Students’ Works” to make a further research.
After a 7-week teaching experiment, data collecting and analysis, the results of the study is as following:
1. The Share-start Teaching Methods actually makes an obvious promotion for
junior high school students in the learning of Geography.
2. The Share-start Teaching Methods can raise the learning interest in Geography
for junior high school students.
3. The Share-start Teaching Methods can effectively develop the ability of
teamwork of junior high school students and raise the involvement of classroom participation through the competition of grouping.
According to the studying results, the reflections of the implementation of the Share-start Teaching Methods and suggestions and references for the teaching materials of Geography, teacher of Geography and follow-up researchers were proposed.
