Summary: | 碩士 === 大葉大學 === 工業工程與管理學系碩士在職專班 === 103 === The purpose of this study was to explore the current status of the diet preference and lunch satisfaction of the junior high school students, as well as the correlation between them. A questionnaire survey was conducted on the students of a junior high school in Changhua County. The questionnaire contains three sections, namely, the “Basic Personal Data Table”, “Diet Preference Scale”, and “Lunch Satisfaction Scale”. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t test, One-way ANOVA and Pearson product-moment correlation. Moreover, the characteristics between the diet preference and satisfaction were explored using the IPA. The results are as follows:
1. The most preferred food categories of junior high school students are hot soup, drinks, fruits, fried food and diary food.
2. The students’ most satisfied food categories are hot soup, fried food, diary food, meat food, and egg food in school lunch.
3. The students’ demographic variables have partially significant differences in the diet preference.
4. The students’ demographic variables have partially significant differences in the lunch satisfaction.
5. The diet preference and lunch satisfaction are positively correlated.
6. The lunch providers should focus on improving the food categories of rice, pasta, fish, vegetable, fast, dessert, and processed food.
The results of this study can be provided to the education units and parents as the dietary guidelines and school lunch providers as the direction for improving the satisfaction.
