Instruments included Friendship Qualities Scale (FQS), Aspects of Identity Questionnaire-the 4th edition (AIQ-IV) and Multidimensional Students’ Life Satisfaction Scale (MSLSS). The data collected from the students were analyzed by descriptive statistics, canonical correlation analysis and structural equation modeling. The results were summarized as follows:
1.The peer relationship, self-identity and life satisfaction in adolesence were above 3 points in Likert scale. (5-points scales in this study) The peer relationship, self-identity and life satisfaction were significantly positive canonically correlated.
2.Both of the peer relationship and self-identity could significantly positively predict life satisfaction, and the peer relationship could also significantly positively predict self-identity.
3.The modified structural model of the peer relationship, self-identity, and life satisfaction exhibited good fit.
4.Self-identitiy partially mediated the association between the peer relationship and life satisfaction.
Finally, this study based on research results had discussed and offered conclusions and suggestions to the relevant personnel as references.
