Summary: | 碩士 === 大葉大學 === 教育專業發展研究所 === 103 === The main purpose of this research was to explore the differences between psychological capital and reading behavior of junior high school students with different backgrounds. The correlation among psychological capital, reading behavior and Chinese performance of junior high school students were also analyzed, and the predictability of the psychological capital, reading behavior and Chinese performance were further analyzed. Lastly, it discussed the reading behavior has mediating effect on psychological capital and Chinese performance of junior high school students.
This research was conducted through the questionnaires. Participants were 526 junior high school students. The questionnaires were inclusive of Psychological Capital of Junior High Students Scale and Reading Behavior Scale. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation, and regression analysis.
The results of this research were stated in the following: (1)There were partial significant differences in the different background variables of the junior high school students regarding psychological capital and reading behavior. (2)There were significant positive correlations in terms of psychological capital, reading behavior and Chinese performance of junior high school students. (3)Psychological capital of junior high school students could significantly predict reading behavior. (4)Reading behavior of junior high school students could significantly predict Chinese performance. (5)Psychological capital of junior high school students could significantly predict Chinese performance. (6)Reading behavior could be a mediator between psychological capital and Chinese performance of junior high school students. The suggests for parents, school, and future researchers were made according to the results of the research.
