It brings us convenience and information anywhere, but also accompanied by the risks of physical and mental health. Previous studies have found that the Internet addiction also produces on smartphones, and clinicians also warned that prolonged use of smartphone can cause damage to the neck and vision. This study takes junior high school students in Taoyuan County as research subjects, analyzing the level of Smartphone usage behavior, addiction and recreational sports participation, and identifying the relationships among these three variables. Using cluster sampling in this research, sent out 600 questionnaires altogether, and acquired 444 effective questionnaires. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, factor analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffé method, Pearson's correlation, multiple stepwise regression analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. The result of study is found as follows: (1) Smartphone usage behavior, addiction and recreational sports participation were shown the significant difference in part of variables of background. (2) Smartphone usage behavior negatively predicts recreational sports participation, and addiction act as a partial mediator between.
