However, Taiwanese student's English proficiency is found unsatisfied. To better the learning efficiency, parental involvement deemed the key factor affecting students' academic achievement seems a remedy. For increasing parents' communication with their children's English teachers, Facebook (hereafter FB), the most popular social network site in the world, is considered a more powerful, affordable and time-saving tool. Therefore, to provide empirical evidence of parents' perspective on the influence of the platform upon parental involvement, theory of planned behavior, the technology acceptance model, the factors of perceived playfulness and perceived risk were applied to conceptualize a research model. To be specific, this study sought answers to the questions that what factors and what are the interrelationships among the factors that affect parents’ intention of using FB for parent-teacher communication to facilitate their children's English learning. With the software of AMOS 20, a structural equation modeling approach was employed to test the hypotheses. The results suggested that parents' attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavioral control have significant positive effect on parents' behavioral intention of the issue; parents' perceived usefulness and playfulness have significant positive effect on parents' attitude toward using FB. This study proffers English teachers and researchers with a practical guideline for enhancing parent-teacher communication via FB, also, contributes to the current literature of English education and information management by providing new perception of English teaching and learning with combination of the prevalent social network sites.
