| Summary: | 碩士 === 朝陽科技大學 === 財務金融系 === 103 === This research examines the utilization and users’ satisfaction of iBike, public bicycles in Taichung City by conducting a questionnaire survey on the iBike users from April 12, 2015 through May 10, 2015. The survey results indicate the following: (1) the majority of iBike users are male, aged between 21 and 30. They are mostly single, college educated, still students and with an average monthly income of below NT$ 20,000; (2) motorcycles are the most common transportation means for iBike users, with an average ride of 30 minutes or less. Most of them pay with EasyCard and they are largely satisfied with the payment method available on iBike; (3) the average level of satisfaction with iBike is 4.04, an indication of a high level of satisfaction with the public bicycles in Taichung City. To encourage green transportation and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the government is advised to promote the use of public bicycles by first targeting at motorcyclists and students and offering tariff incentives.
