However, studies also indicated that telecommuters seems like to treat themselves as contract workers, and thus they likely to threat or illegal use organization’s intellectual properties, therefore, lots of telecommuting firms lunch monitoring system while using telecommuting. In order to solve the inconsistent phenomenon above, this study aims to use 4 character of telecommuting: specialty, output- orientation, supervisor’s interaction and technical personal character, to survey the influences of telecommuting on the 3 contents of supervisor’s trust: job involvement, target reach and interests maintenance. By sending questionnaires to employees of 5 major industries in Taiwan, totally 320 copies were received (71.1%). Results showed that 3 out of 4 characters of telecommuting: specialty, supervisor’s interaction and technical personal characters had positive influences to all 3 contents of supervisor’s trust, and product-oriented showd no influence to all three contents. Academically, this study illustrates the inconsistent view points of supervisor’s trust to telecommuters, and reveal that different characters contain different ways, positive or negative, to influence supervisor’s trust; Practically, this study provides a overall understanding to supervisor’s trust while lunching telecommuting, and also the constitutional elements of employee’s awareness of trust to their employers.
