In the recent years, the sleep disorder research has been gradually mature, and the Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) has been the most common sleep disorder, which treatments have been researched and improved a lot. In addition to lifestyle changed and surgical treatment, it is proved that non-invasive Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) is helpful to OSA. In this study, OSA and relevant sleep disorders were investigated and discussed. In addition, a Bi-level PAP system was developed on the basis of control theory and data analysis with combination of the theory and technique of motor control, and application of flow, pressure sensing and interface of users with a microcontroller. The system was verified to have the function of CPAP and Bi-level PAP. Finally, forced oscillation technique was applied to successfully recognize obstructive sleep apnea and central sleep apnea.
