The method of treatment comprises surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and targeted therapy, etc., which medical staff must arrange complete imaging examinations and radiotherapy plan for patients before the formal radiotherapy. The importance of digital information will increase when medical records were increased gradually, so medical information system is the essential tool which provides convenient file records. However, most of the medical information management systems that medical institutes and manufacturers researched and developed have not yet been extended to the distal browsable way. This aim of this research is to develop a data management system for supporting radiotherapy information system mainly using communication and information technology. It is difficult to develop radiotherapy information management system, because there are many medical devices and information systems in radiation oncology department, and there are lot courses of treatment. In this study, we developed a customized of radiotherapy summary report management system (RSRMS) based on a Client / Server architecture, which extracted from current radiotherapy information system interface. According to Microsoft's IIS server architecture using Access with ASP.NET technology developed web database, it can be operated in any web browser within the network. To achieve the convenience of system operation, the development of this system is also the use of Visual C # to create a new website, Excel as the exclusive import formats, and ReportViewer control items present export reports. The login security authentication mechanism is designed with user job titles, username, passwords and verification codes. In addition, based on the clinical user habits, a user management interface, which facilitates the implementation of a system administrator, is developed. After the system is completed, more than 500 virtual medical records are used to test functions of system. The developed system can operate normally in the common browsers. With the design of secure authentication mechanism, user with different powers has different operating authority to login, and this system can be used after all login information consistent. System user management interface is easy to navigate, and easy to manage system users. In the add files, edit, modify, delete, report and even search, view, and export files section, system operation process design is close to the clinical user's mode. After testing a variety of query criteria with 505 virtual medical records, the correct rate of search and export functions is up to 100%. Also in the export of efficiency, average only 1.25 to 2.47 seconds to complete information search and export reports; such processing efficiency of this system helps clinical treatment records. Simple steps to import the files in this system, it clearly displays the message of import process, and it helps users easily master the import situation. This study develops a prototype of database to support radiation therapy information system, integrating the fields of radiation therapy summary report, resolving the difficulties of radiotherapy form design, and there is a brief user interface is easy to use. The system is web-based interface presentation, which is available on a variety of browsers used within the network, and provides security mechanisms through a single login interface to manage medical information.
