In addition, with the competitions from the fast-rising factories in China and the subsidies provided by the Chinese government, the second depression has not improved. In this study, we try to improve the efficiency of the solar energy industry by choosing the most appropriate location of a factory in order to reduce the overall operating costs and the effect of the depression. This study used the case company XYZ, as an example; we analyze and choose among the three factory locations in Taiwan. Firstly, this study reviewed and classified related literature based on their characteristics. Then the Likert scale was applied to the questionnaire survey. We developed the main factors and the secondary ones to construct the AHP structure. Then the AHP questionnaire was issued to collect and summarize the experts’ opinions. Next, the Cronbach’s Alpha was calculated using the SPSS software package to verify the reliability of the questionnaire. After passing the test, Expert Choice was used to calculate the relative weights for locations and the average total scores for the second and third Hierarchy. Among the 3 locations, the park in Kaohsiung has the highest overall average and total score. Thus, according to the result of this study, the best choice of factory location was Kaohsiung.
