Summary: | 碩士 === 中臺科技大學 === 護理系碩士班 === 103 === With the progression of industry and economy and the aggravation of social competition, the lifestyles and dietary habits of Taiwanese have been changing, and the diet has become more refined and westernized.
That being said, there are more and more people suffering obesity, and that makes coronary artery disease more likely to happen. While with the advancement of medical technology, cardiac catheterization has already become a very common means of diagnosis and treatment. Most patients often feel pressured when undergoing cardiac catheterization inspection and show the sign of anxiety. In order to alleviate the anxiety caused by the inspection, nursing staffs should be adequately educated to assist cardiac catheterization inspection. The goal is to help patients know better about the procedure and to lessen the anxiety caused by it. My research aims to take the coronary artery disease patients who undergo cardiac catheterization inspection as the subjects and discuss the efficiency and the cognition of cardiac catheterization when there is a systematic nursing education involved.
My research undergoes in a similar fashion as an experiment, dividing subjects randomly into treatment and control groups. The experiment, undergone in a teaching hospital in central Taiwan, includes eighty subjects: forty-three people in the treatment group and thirty-seven patients in the control group. A systematic nursing education is involved in the treatment group; however, the control group receives the conventional nursing education. Both groups take the survey of the cognition of cardiac catheterization and the situation-oriented anxiety evaluation three times. All those collected data are descriptively and inferentially analyzed in a statistics software “PSAW statistics 18.” The results show that: 1. With the involvement of a systematic nursing education, it helps much to make coronary artery disease patients know better about cardiac catheterization. In addition, it works better than the control group. 2. With the involvement of a systematic nursing education, it helps to alleviate anxiety of patients who are going to take cardiac catheterization inspection. It works better than the control group. From the results, it is more efficient to make the most of pictures and animations in a CD and pamphlets than resorting to conventional flyer. As a measure of health education that is worth spreading, it can serve as a reference for the clinical nursing education.
